The development of the new children's hospital will involve the most significant investment in healthcare services for the children of Ireland, in the history of the state.
To be built alongside St. James's Hospital, Dublin 8, this facility will combine, on one site, the clinical services and expertise of the three existing children's hospitals - Temple Street Children's Hospital, the National Children's Hospital at Tallaght and Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin.
Our new children's hospital will be child-focused in every way, designed to deliver the best children's healthcare service available anywhere in the world. It will bring together state-of-the-art equipment with a staff of world-class specialists and professionals, in one hospital designed to meet the healthcare needs of Ireland's children.
The new children's hospital will be at the heart of an integrated national children's health system, to ensure that young people and their families consistently receive the right care, at the right place and at the right time.
A dynamic powerhouse of research, innovation and education, the new children's hospital will provide the best global standards of paediatric care for the children of Ireland - today, tomorrow and for generations to come.
The National Paediatric Hospital Development Board - the Development Board is tasked with planning, designing, building and equipping the new children's hospital.
The Children's Hospital Group Board was established to oversee the operational integration of the three existing children's hospitals, in advance of the move to the new children's hosptial.
